Alaskan Highway

Finally the road opened at 11:15AM - and we were back on the road.  One lane opened, and we were led out across the mudslide section.  Lots of logs and debris had come down over the highway, now cleared off enough to let us move on.  No need to stop at Tok - we headed on to Delta Junction.

The end of the Alaskan Canadian Highway.  We have now completed the entire road as built and managed - nearing the 70 year anniversary of it's completion this September.

1422 miles, most in Canada, built by the US Army to connect Alaska to the lower 48.

We did it!
