Glaciers are really Cool

Two weeks on the un-cruise - the Wilderness Discovery - a ship that can take 76 passengers and has 26 crew.  It exceeded our expectations.  The crew was incredible, the food, the scenery, the close up views of both the western and eastern coves of SE Alaska amazing.  We hiked in the rain forest, walked on a glacier, spent time in a cave, kayaked in the fiords, and bays, and snorkled in the 40 degree water.  And we got to share it with our friend, Sue.

Ron even took a polar plunge off the boat in his bathing suit.

Wildlife abounded in bald eagles, terns, harlequin ducks, great blue heron, western grebes, and loons that have the most amazing calls.  There were multiple humpback whale sightings, dall purpoise, harbor seals, sealions, otters, black bear, mountain goat, grizzley bear, and moose.  And the scenery .... but I think I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves.
